The Top Crypto Exchanges with the Best Margin Trading Features

The Top Crypto Exchanges with the Best Margin Trading Features submitted by cryptoallbot to cryptoall [link] [comments]

Research: Margin trading features found on Binance API.

Programmer here. According to the official Binance public rest API documentation; which can be found here and was updated last week, the response to https://www.binance.com/api/v1/exchangeInfo should be:
{ "timezone": "UTC", "serverTime": 1508631584636, "rateLimits": [ // These are defined in the `ENUM definitions` section under `Rate limiters (rateLimitType)`. // All limits are optional. ], "exchangeFilters": [ // There are defined in the `Filters` section. // All filters are optional. ], "symbols": [{ "symbol": "ETHBTC", "status": "TRADING", "baseAsset": "ETH", "baseAssetPrecision": 8, "quoteAsset": "BTC", "quotePrecision": 8, "orderTypes": [ // These are defined in the `ENUM definitions` section under `Order types (orderTypes)`. // All orderTypes are optional. ], "icebergAllowed": false, "filters": [ // There are defined in the `Filters` section. // All filters are optional. ] }] }
However, API calls confirm that recently Binance has silently included two extra booleans between "icebergAllowed" and "filters". The new response is:
{ "timezone": "UTC", "serverTime": 1508631584636, "rateLimits": [ // These are defined in the `ENUM definitions` section under `Rate limiters (rateLimitType)`. // All limits are optional. ], "exchangeFilters": [ // There are defined in the `Filters` section. // All filters are optional. ], "symbols": [{ "symbol": "ETHBTC", "status": "TRADING", "baseAsset": "ETH", "baseAssetPrecision": 8, "quoteAsset": "BTC", "quotePrecision": 8, "orderTypes": [ // These are defined in the `ENUM definitions` section under `Order types (orderTypes)`. // All orderTypes are optional. ], "icebergAllowed": false, "isSpotTradingAllowed":false, "isMarginTradingAllowed":false, "filters": [ // There are defined in the `Filters` section. // All filters are optional. ] }] }
This change has not been reflected on the documentation. Further analysis of the response revealed that all 482 trading pairs have spot trading enabled and margin trading disabled; which makes sense. However, this API update implies that Binance is considering the implementation of margin trading features.
Other competitors such as Bitfinex, OKEx and BitMex already profit from these high volume markets and is likely Binance CEO Changpeng Zhao wants a piece of the cake.

Question about borrowing shares, same as buying long?

Trying to get my head around the Margin trading features and had a couple of questions... Any help is appreciated and apologies in advance if this is very obvious. I don't think I'm understanding exactly what happens when I "borrow" shares (in order to short an asset).
Scenario 1: If I borrow BTC, and I don't do anything with those shares (don't sell them to short it), and then the price of BTC goes up. I then repay the BTC loan after having done nothing with the borrowed shares, what happens? Do I make a "gain" in my USDT balance? Is it the same as if I had "bought BTC long", price rose, and I sold it at profit?
Or does nothing really happens when I borrow and repay the shares, as long as I don't trade the borrowed shares, regardless of price having gone up or down during the period?
Scenario 2: If I borrow BTC with the intention of shorting it, but I don't sell those borrowed shares yet for whatever reason. The price of BTC goes up by $500. I then sell my borrowed shares. The price of BTC drops by $200, I buy back shares at the lower price, and I repay the BTC loan. What would the profit be?
Scenario 3: The reverse... I borrow BTC with the intention of shorting it, but I don't sell those borrowed shares yet. The price of BTC goes down by $500. I then sell my borrowed shares. The price of BTC drops by a further $200. I buy the shares back at the lower price and repay the loan. What would the profit be?
In all the above scenarios, can ignore transactions fees and interest on the borrowed amount for simplicity.
Thank you!

It's a new project but their work and dedication for the project are visible and they are running a massive bounty program for the community. There is still a chance for the early investors to still join the project and getting as much profit as they can from it.

Why Start Margin Trading In Cryptocurrency Markets?

The cryptocurrency market has been volatile from the very beginning, which is why more and more innovations have been made to continuing profiting from it when its under attack by the bear market. One way to earn from cryptocurrency is by margin trading. For traders with a limited amount of crypto coins or tokens, there is the option of margin trading to add leverage to the investment. This increases the amount of invested without having to hold the assets. It is important to mention that margin trading is an emerging platform on different crypto projects.
One exchange who recently added margin trading in their platform is KuCoin. This platform initially supported 12 different assets, which provided a way to trade with up to 10x leverage. In addition to the margin trading features, this also marks the opening of a lending platform for users who wish to lend their tokens to others for margin trading. Through selling and lending crypto, traders can short their positions to get profit. Margin trading, compared to traditional trading, has the potential for higher profit but, due to price fluctuations and high liquidity, also faces higher transaction risk. KuCoin Margin Trading is in its early stage but it's expected to go boom with the emerging market of margin trading.
Margin trading can be advantageous in cases where the investor anticipates earning a higher rate of return on the investment than what an individual is paying in interest on the loan. The most obvious advantage of margin trading is the fact that it can result in larger profits due to the greater relative value of the trading positions. Other than that, margin trading can be useful for diversification, as traders can open several positions with relatively small amounts of investment capital. With this concept, more traders are also trying this kind of platform because of the profit that it can make than on spot trading.

How To Amplify Profit On KuCoin's Margin Trading Platform?

If an individual wants to trade cryptocurrencies but only has a limited amount of capital to work with, it's a must to consider trying the tool known as margin trading. By borrowing money from a cryptocurrency exchange or broker to increase one's buying power, margin trading offers the potential for greater profits. Of course, it also comes with a high level of risk attached. So a person must know what margin trading project they need to invest in. Margin trading is possible due to the existence of the lending market. Lenders provide loans to traders so they can invest in larger amounts of coins, and lenders benefit from interest on the loans. When trading on margin it is important that there are clear rules of risk management, beware of excessive greed. Take into account the amount a trader is willing to risk, keeping in mind it can be lost completely.
Recently, KuCoin margin trading was released. The platform originally supported 12 different assets, which provided a way to trade with up to 10x leverage. In addition to the margin trading features, this also marks the opening of a lending platform for users who wish to lend their tokens to others for margin trading. That simply means the platform stood up for its name "The People's Exchange" in the field of trading. Offering more services and products to better cater to the trading needs of individuals and institutions. The advent of margin trading could further complement the trading ecosystem, enabling users to choose a suitable service ranging from zero leverage (KuCoin Spot Trading) to 10x leverage (KuCoin Margin Trading) or 20x leverage (KuMEX Futures Trading) based on their trading strategy. This will result in larger gains in the fast-growing crypto world.
