I created a website where Crypto traders and investors could go to get easy access to datasets and trading tools. This platform would be tailored to folks who prefer to do analysis within spreadsheets such as Excel and Google Sheets.

https://spreadstreet.io
My name is John, and back in February of this year I started working on a website where Digital Currency traders and investors could go to get easy access to datasets and trading tools (such as add-ins, charting, and technical analysis templates). This platform would require no coding knowledge, and would be tailored to folks who prefer to do analysis within spreadsheets such as Excel and Google Sheets.
Quick About Me
I am a former Fortune 500 financial analyst, where I managed two $3 billion portfolios. I've been investing/trading since 2002/2003. If you take a look at my kindle cloud reader, you will see over 100 books dedicated to trading and investing of all sorts - technical analysis, fundamental analysis, daily options trading strategies, value investing, volatility trading, quantitative trading, algorithmic trading, and bullshit trading.
I think crypto is the future, and I believe that it is on an unstoppable path. My ultimate goal is to become a cost-leader in the field, and be tailored towards the individual investor. You shouldn't have to pay hundreds to thousands of dollars for top-notch tools.
Features at a Glance
Databases currently included (updated daily)
All datasets are available as a tab-delimited, CSV file. The datasets are a mix between raw tick data, OHLCV, spreads, mining and economic statistics. They can be used for backtesting, analysis, and charting.
Investing/Trading Templates and Strategies
On The Horizon
Potential Ideas
I'm open to answer questions or talk more about the project if there's interest. Hope it helps the traders and investors out there.

How I applied Buffet's strategies to my own portfolio, +70% networth, beat SP500 by 40%

I believe I did pretty well in the market this year. My networth increased ~65% since its lowest point in March, ~350k to 620k. 20k from the car I bought in March. I rolled over a 401k and it messed up Mint's reporting, hence the spike from Jul -> Aug.
I beat the SP500 by 40% in my YOLO account, my FAANG account went from 180->300
I did this by following some basic investing principles, buying and holding for the most part, being patient, and only investing in areas which I have expertise in.
I did not buy into the TSLA hype, nor do I play options, nor do I play crypto.

High level advice:

https://www.simplysafedividends.com/intelligent-income/posts/37-top-10-pieces-of-investment-advice-from-warren-buffett
I picked the 7 I agree with.
  1. Invest in what you know…and nothing more.
  2. Never compromise on business quality
  3. When you buy a stock, plan to hold it forever
  4. Diversification can be dangerous
  5. Most news is noise, not news (don't read articles about investing)
  6. The best moves are usually boring (buy and hold)
  7. Only listen to those you know and trust
I firmly believe that anyone who follows those concepts, they will find success in investing.

General mindset:

Application:

I was very specific in the types of companies I would choose to invest in within tech. I decided to follow my strengths. As a data engineer, I'm very intimate with cloud technologies, and I think I generally have pretty sharp business acumen and good strategic direction.
As a result, my day to day work had me using a ton of technologies in the cloud space. I've used Splunk, NewRelic, Twilio, AWS, GCP, Hortonworks/Cloudera, Oracle, Tableau, Datadog, Sendgrid (bought by Twilio), Dropbox/box, Slack, Salesforce, Marketo, Databricks, Snowflake, HP Vertica, just to name a few. I was familiar with CDN services like Fastly and Cloudflare because sometimes, I worked with the DevOps and IT guys.
Based on industry hearsay, day to day work, eventually, I got a good "feel" of what technologies were widely adopted, easy to use, and had a good reputation in the industry. Similarly, I also got a feel for what tech were being considered 'dated' or not widely used (HP, Oracle, Cloudera, Dropbox, Box).
I tend to shy away from companies that I don't understand. In the past, most times I've done that-- I got burned. My biggest losers this year was betting on $NAT and $JMNA (10k total loss). After learning from those mistakes, I decided to only focus on investing in companies that either I or my peers have intimate first hand experience with using. Because of this rationale, the majority of stocks in my portfolio are products which I believe in, I thoroughly enjoy using, and I would recommend to my friends, family, and colleagues.
Post COVID, due to the shift to remote work and increase in online shopping I decided to double down on tech. I already knew that eCommerce was the next big thing. I made very early investments into SHOP and Amazon in 2017 for that reason.
My hypothesis was that post-COVID, the shift on increased online activity, remote work, and eCommerce would mean that companies which build tools to support increased online activity should also increase. I decided to choose three sectors within tech to narrow down-- these were three sectors that I had a good understanding of, due to the nature of my work and personal habits.
  1. eCommerce + AdTech
  2. IT/DevOps (increased online activity means higher need for infra)
  3. FinTech (increased shopping activity means more transactions)
These are the points I consider before I consider jumping into a stock:
  1. Do I feel good about using the company? Do I believe in the company's vision?
  2. Where do I see this company in 5 years? 10 years? Do I see my potential children being around to use these companies?
  3. What does YoY, QoQ growth look like for this company?
  4. Is/Will this product be a core part of how businesses or people operate?
  5. Who are their customers and target demographic?
  6. (SaaS) Customer testimonials, white papers, case studies. If it's for a technology, I'm going to want to read a paper or use case.
In March, I took what I believe to be an "educated gamble". When the market crashed, I liquefied most of my non tech assets and reinvested them into tech. Some of the holdings I already had, some holdings were newly purchased.
EDIT ^ this isn't called timing the market you /wsb imbeciles. Timing the market would be trying to figure out when to PULL OUT during ATH and then buying the dip. I SOLD at the lowest point, and I with the cash I sold AT A LOSS, I reinvested that cash and doubled down into tech. If I sold in Feb, and bought back in March, that would be calling timing the market. What I am doing is called REINVESTING/REBALANCING... not timing the market.
I have 50% of my networth in AMZN, MSFT, AAPL, GOOG, FB, NFLX, and the rest in individual securities/mutual funds. I have 3 shares of TSLA that I got in @1.5.
Here are the non FAANGs I chose.
  1. $SQ. I had already been invested in SQ since 2016. I made several bad trades, holding when it first blew past 90 until I sold it at 70... bought in again last year at 60s, after noticing that more and more B&M stores were getting rid of their clunky POS systems and replacing it with Square's physical readers. After COVID, I noticed a lot of pop up vendors, restaurants doing take out. A Square reader made transactions very easy to make post-COVID.
  2. $ATVI. Call of Duty and Candy Crush print money for them. I've been a Blizzard fanboy since I was a kid, so I have to keep this just out of principle.
  3. $SHOP. They turned a profit this year, and I think there is still a lot more room to grow. It's become somewhat of a household name. I've met quite a few people who mentioned that they have a Shopify site set up to do their side hustle. I've tried the product myself, and can definitely attest that it's pretty easy to get an online shop up and running within a day. I 5.5xed my return here.
  4. $BIGC. I bought into this shortly after IPO. I'm very excited to see an American Shopify. BigC focuses on enterprise customers right now, and Shopify independent merchants, so I don't see them directly competing. I'm self aware this is essentially a gamble. I got in at 90, sold at 140, and added more in 120s. I def got lucky here... it's not common for IPOs to pop so suddenly. I honestly wasn't expecting it to pop so soon.
  5. $OKTA. Best in class SSO tool. Amazing tool that keeps tracks of all of my sign-ons at work.
  6. $DDOG. Great monitoring tool. Widely adopted and good recommendations throughout the industry. Always had a nice looking booth at GoogleNext.
  7. $ZM. Zoom was the only video conf tool at work which I had a good time using. Adoption had blown up pre-COVID already in the tech world, and post-COVID, they somehow became a noun. "Zoom parties" and "Zoom dates" somehow became a thing interwoven into peoples' day to day lives.
  8. $TWLO. Twilio sells APIs which allow applications to send messages like text, voice, and video chat. For example, when DoorDash sends you a text at 1 AM reminding you that your bad decision has arrived, that text is powered by Twilio. In March, New York announced that they were going to use Twilio to send SMS notifs for COVID contact tracing.
  9. $NET/$FSTY. These two two seem like the ones best poised for growth in the CDN space. This is based off of industry exposure and chatting with people who work in DevOps.
  10. $DOCU. people aren't going to office to sign stuff, super easy to use, I like their product.
  11. $WMT. eComm, streaming, and a very substantial engineering investment makes me think they have room to grow. Also I really need to diversify.
  12. $COST. When is the last time you heard someone say "Man I hate going to Costco and paying $1.50 for a hotdog and soda?" Diversification. Also cheap hotdogs.
  13. $NVDA/AMD. GPUs are the present and the future. Not only are they used for video games, but Machine Learning now uses GPU instead of CPU to do compute (Tensorflow for example). Crypto is still a thing as well, and there will always been a constant need for GPUs.
Mutual funds/ETFs 1. $FSCSX. MF which focuses on FinTech.
  1. $VTSAX Pretty much moves with the SP500.
  2. $WCLD. Holdings include Salesforce, Workday, Zuora, Atlassian, Okta, New Relic, Fastly...
Titanvest: I was an early access user, and I was able to secure 0% fees for my accout. 36% gains so far. I like them, because their portfolio happens to include shares of tech giants that I either don't have individual stocks for or my stake is low (CRM, PPYL). It nicely complements my existing portfolio.

Some things I do that that are against the grain:

One example was how I applied the above principle was to WalMart. In 2018 I noticed that I was getting targeted by a lot of Data engineering job listing for WalMartLabs-- WarMart's tech division. The role was to build out a big data pipeline to support their eCommerce platform. WalMart's online store released in Q3 of 2019. Post COVID, I used their online store and it was a seamless experience. They even offer a 5% cash back card like Amazon. They reported strong Q4 sales last year, and they did very well post COVID. Why did I choose to invest in $WMT? Because I believe that Wal-Mart has room to grow for their online platform.
Lastly... remember that wealth isn't accrued over time. It takes years to build. The quickest way to increase your wealth is by investing in yourself-- your career and earning potential. The sooner my income increased, the quicker I had more capital to buy into stocks.
Also, if you've gotten this far, the point of my post isn't to say that you should invest into tech. The message I'm trying to get across is-- when picking companies, pick companies in fields or verticals you have good knowledge in. Heed Buffet's advice to only pick companies you believe in and understand. Play to your strengths, don't mindless toss money based on one person's posts on Reddit-- always do your own due diligence. Use DD as a guide and use personal research and experience to drive your decision.

S&P 1700 within 6 Months

This is a new post after some interest in a comment why I believed the S&P is going to 1700.
Update 3: I am going to limit my answers in the comments guys; as the post becomes more popular it is becoming more diluted with snark etc. I don't expect anyone to follow my opinions; I just want to share one aspect of why I am making the trades I am. I maybe wrong. Random walk and all that..
Original Disclaimer: This is based on historical precedence and we are in unprecedented times but, with history as our guide a strong argument can be made for the S&P to decline to a level that is currently inconceivable. I have disclosed all my positions near the bottom.
Update 1: Slightly long; happy to be challenged in the comments, it is late in the UK (2am) so may tidy it up and add more references and charts tomorrow. Update 2: Have expanded the post to answer as many comments and requests for references wherever possible and tagged in the requestors.

Intro: Are we in a recession?

If you believe so, or that we are heading into a recession then there are four things needed to support a genuine rally out of a recession

We are missing 2 out of those 4 criteria; the overwhelming monetary and fiscal policy (world-records) are compensating for lack of positive indicators and volatile and bullish pricing.

What do you mean by pricing?

It can be argued that the current price of stocks is not discounting for the acute and likely chronic harm to consumer sentiment and spending power. For example; the UK clothing retailer Next Group closed their bricks and mortar stores (share price increased 4%) then they cancelled all online shopping (share price increased 3%) and finally they cancelled all orders with their supply chain (shares leapt 12.8% during the rally.) There is the massive amount of second, third and fourth order effects that this one company does to the UK economy (and Turkish factories). Suppliers, shipping, design, marketing etc all cancelled and the staff furloughed.
This is one example but the indexes are currently full of similar examples and some analysts are ringing the alarm bells.

Lazard Asset Management are concerned that the pandemic “will persist longer than many investors suspect and that the economic damage will be deeper and potentially longer-lasting”.
Reddit is quick to mention that stonks only go up but there is some truth to that sentiment at present since any negative factors are dismissed as being priced in and all positive factors are heralded as a cause for stocks to rally. If priced in was accurate then we would not see record-beating market rallies back to back. 10% volatility swings over 48 hours is the very definition of not priced in.
There is evidence to suggest that, well, the bullish sentiment is wrong and mainly because it is retail investors being taken for a ride whilst funds re-balance and offload.
Retail traders "buying the dips" is normally a contrarian signal, meaning that it's time to sell. This section is for u/lntoIerant in response to a comment.

Edit to answer some comments about this portion thus far.

Do retail investors move the market?
Are retail investors buying in greater volumes?
Are retail investors dumb money?

What does this have to do with the S&P dividend and the EPS?

Major indexes are comprised of stocks that pay handsome dividends; normally 2% yield a year. The companies have reached their limit of growth (HSBC haven't discovered 5 million new customers and Shell are not finding new fossil fuels) so investors hold the stock for income-seeking reasons.
The FTSE 100 was priced in to generate £89 billion in dividends for 2019 and £90 billion+ in 2020. That has largely collapsed.
The only companies that pay dividends are those taking on debt to do so like Shell. And they have; a 10Bn credit line to maintain dividends. The Bank of Englandhad to slap 5 UK banks from issuing dividends at this time. That means that their primary valuations as income-generating stocks are questionable...
...especially since the dividends are not expected to return to the 2020 levels for another 10 years now. Edit to add: This portion is taken from the market report by BNY Mellon. You can see the chart here. The analyst is John Velis of BNY. Thanks to u/flash_aaaah_ahhhhh for prompting me.

“By 2021, the market expects dividends per share for the S&P 500 to be down to under $38 per share (a staggering 41 per cent drop from recent highs of approximately $63 per share) and then to start slowly rising again. Going out 10 years to 2030, the expectation is that dividends will just about recover to pre-Covid-19 levels.”

Main body: Onto the S&P

In 2021 the market expects the dividends per share for the S&P to be reduced to $38 per share. That is priced in and common knowledge.
That is a 41% drop from the recent highs of $63 a share and seems alarming for income seeking investors since we are not expected to recover to those prices for 8-10 years. Source.
But DataTrek have noted that we are still currently trading at 21X the trailing 10 year earnings of $122 a share.
Dividends per share normally don't fall as far as earnings per share. But they are inverted at present.
For the S&P to be trading at 2,650 level (or even higher) it means the market does not believe the pandemic or recession will have any long-term damage. That puts us squarely at odds with items 3 and 4 in our list of factors needed to exit a bear market.

Talk to me about 2008!

Thanks to u/mister_woody for asking for more data.

In other recessions, including 2008, the dividend price per share drops approximately 12-15% but the earnings per share drop by considerably more; as much as 85%.
That means that in 2008 financial crisis and subsequent bear market; the dividends per share dropped by a lower percentage amount than the total index value drop.
You can see that in this chart here.

Right now, we have the reverse. Dividend share drop in this market is 41% (which is chilling) and market drop was approximately only 30% and rallying heavily back to the mid-20's only. That makes no financial sense unless the assets were being propped up by buyers...

If the S&P follows the same playbook at 2008-9, then we would expect to see levels of around 1400 at the bottom but that seems extremely bearish expecting that this crisis is worse than 2008.
If previous indications hold true, then we would expect the S&P to drop by approximately 50-60%ish at the true bottom to reflect the 41% decrease in expected shares plus additional discounts and negative market sentiment.
In reality, we are probably likely to pull back to between 13X and 15X trailing average which puts the S&P between 1600 (low side) and 1800 (high side).

You are putting a lot of faith in a re-run of the 2008 crisis

I am. No doubt about it. After October 2008, stocks fell for another four months, piling up 40% of losses before the recently ended bull market began in March 2009.

New market indicators

Since I wrote this post, the DJIA was up over 4% and closed down on the day.
Thank you to theTwitter feed of Jim Bianco for this: Since 1925 (95 yrs!), up more than 4% and closing down on the day has happened only one other time ... Oct 14, 2008 (Tsy Sec Hank Paulson forced the banks to take TARP money). The S&P 500 was up 3.5% at the high and closed down on the day. Since April 1982 (daily H,L,C began) has happened three other times...Oct 3, 08, Oct 14, 08, and Oct 17, 08.
This mkt continues to trade like Oct 08. It was six months and another 25% down before the low.
Bezinga are also playing up the 2008 similarities.

Why is bullish sentiment so wrong?

The negative reports are so wildly negative that the almost defy belief. We are dealing with insane numbers way beyond our traditional frame of reasoning. This is topped only by the insanity of the scale of quantitative easing. Less than a year ago, a small movement in the non-farm payrolls would lead to a 2-3% move in the markets; now we are hitting 700K jobs lost, a truly ugly number and the market rallies hugely. Future economic students will study this to try and understand what was happening.
In the space of weeks the majority of the Western economies have swung to being effectively state-sponsored, centralised economies and no one really knows how to unwind these positions.
It is impossible to reconcile being a bull with a centralised state economy and blue-chip stocks that refuse to pay dividends but the share price remains at the same levels as when they paid a 2% yield.
The UK forecast is for the deepest contraction since 1900. Business surveys have shown activity crashing faster in March than during the financial crisis. The Office for National Statistics has published experimental research on the impact of Covid-19 on the economy.

With entire swaths of the economy having shut down “traditional forecasting methods become irrelevant”, warned Chiara Zangarelli, economist at investment bank Nomura.
Michelle Girard, economist at NatWest, said that while there was huge uncertainty about the precise magnitude of the contraction in gross domestic product in the second quarter, “there is little doubt that it will be off the scale”
That is not a bullish sentiment. It means markets are acting irrationally since fundamentals are being dismissed as priced-in. In reality; nothing is priced in.

Edit to add: So, your entire thesis is totally destroyed if companies keep paying dividends?

Yes.
In a nutshell.
But something else will be destroyed; the western taxpayer and future growth.

CEO said 'every pound we receive [in rates relief] will be invested in ensuring Tesco is able to support British shoppers...' That is tax payers paying a subsidy to a free-market company for the ability to shop...and also...
Mr Lewis said that the needs of savers and pension funds also needed to be considered in the debate around dividends. “We’ve thought long and hard about our responsibilities here . . . we are in a strong position to pay out for the benefit of those people

Edit to add: What about the FED and stimulus

u/tauriel81 and u/aliveintucson325 and u/100PERCENTYOLO_VEQT
OK - to truly test my own assumptions; here is my argument AGAINST my position.
The Fed have not quite printed money as Reddit loves to meme. They have issued liquidity and central banks worldwide have allowed banks to relax their requirement to hold reserves of cash. That injects money into the business world by allowing lending and borrowing to continue. It also reduces theoretical risk since the models are back within tolerance.
When the time comes they will remove the credits gradually without causing hyperinflation. They do this by paying banks not to lend back into the system by holding a % of their assets at the Federal Reserve. So they pay the banks but the banks keep the deposit at the Fed and don't pass on the liquidity to potential borrowers..gradually and sustainably.
https://www.aier.org/article/powells-new-monetary-regime/
That means the borrower of the future (home purchasers, entreprenuers etc) will have very few credit facilities available so RIP to the long-term economic growth.
We also have unprecedented government support for citizens. The largest social security welfare plan since WW2, especially in Europe.
If you believe that the Western economies can weather this storm using the bridging devices by central banks then it pays to dollar cost average into the market and keep buying the dips as a retail investor.
Lots of buoyant news from European nations and China about the slowing pandemic is overwhelming the negative leading and lagging economic indicators about economic data.
If you believe the economy can return to normal within 36 months, then it pay to be bullish and invest.
If you are day-trading, swing-trading or short-term options trading then the overwhelming market moves are likely to crush people as the system flexes under lots of volatility. You are also likely prioritising the negative news and technical analysis in your filter bubble and de-prioritising the positive news particularly when that news is fiscal or monetary policy since those things are dry, boring and incomprehensible half the time.
So you miss Fed backstops critical bankingi and instead hear UK Prime Minister in intensive care.
If you want to know what is going on...

Decide where you making a prediction. Plan your trade, trade your plan.
How do the FED take money back out of the economy?
They FED purchase the security initially to then sell it back to the asset-holder later. So the balance of credit-deficit merely swaps but by paying a small premium on the excesses that they hold, they can cushion the inflation or deflation of the currency.
So, they effectively give the bank liquidity and then remove that liquidity later by passing the asset back...but also provide a small premium to cushion the blow; 50% of the premium is then held on Federal Reserve books so that the market is not flooded with new money.
The FED previously reduced their balance sheet from $4.4 trillion to $3.7 trillion but it remains to be seen if they can unwind a position of this size.

TL:DR

Monthly Dividend Update - July 2020

Hello everyone, today I am sharing my updated dividend growth portfolio at the end of July 2020. I always keep track of my investment portfolio in google sheet. It helps me to understand my portfolio performance so that I can make the right decision of my trades and in which direction my portfolio is going. I am not investing to retire early that's why I am investing only 10% of my salary for investing. My main investing strategy is to invest in dividend-paying stocks however, I also invest a very small percent paying stocks such as GOOGL, AMZN, TSLA, FB, etc. I also invest in cryptocurrencies mostly Bitcoin and Ethereum. So monthly, 80% of my investment goes to dividend-paying stocks, 10% in non-dividend paying stocks, and 10% in cryptos. All of my investments are for the long term. I don't sell stocks that often. In July, I did not purchase any stocks. I think there will be a drop in the market soon as the election is coming. So its better to pile up cash. I have received only $38 in dividends. The amount dropped due to the selling of my entire JPMorgan (JPM) stocks. JPM is a great stock to hold for a longer time but I am thinking its not a good time to hold bank stocks. This month I have received dividends mostly from PPL Corp (PPL), Coca-Cola (KO), and Legget & Platt (LEG). I am currently doing DRIP for all of my positions except for NAT stocks.

Percentage Based Crypto Portfolio Template

Dear Crypto friends!
Every few months I mention on Reddit how I use a percentage based portfolio management strategy and that I believe it is the "right" way to manage your portfolio. When this comes up I mention the google sheets document I've created over the past three years to organize, view, and react to my portfolio. Every time somebody asks me to share this document, but doing so takes a lot of effort and I've been too lazy. Well last night it happened again and this morning I finally wasn't too lazy. So without further ado here is a way too long post about how I view finances and why I believe you should try to adapt my strategy to fit your needs.
*First things first, I am not a financial advisor, I am an internet bozo that you have never met. Don't invest more than you're willing to lose, do your own research, not your keys not your coin, feel free to comment more cliches and I can add them here.*
I adhere to the belief that the very first step to proper financial management as an adult is to create a monthly budget for your life. I have used mint for years as a way to track my spending and help me figure out what a realistic monthly budget for my lifestyle is. Once I feel good that my monthly budget is accurate I put 3 months worth of my budget in my traditional credit union savings account, 1 months worth in my traditional checking account and then I direct deposit my paycheck into a third traditional savings account. I then place 3 more months of my budget into a high interest DeFi account. Now I want to pause here because everyone comes from very different financial backgrounds. We all hear "Don't invest more than you're willing to lose" but nobody likes to define this. Regardless of how you feel about USD stability (if you're in this community it's probably because you don't trust fiat) most "experts" believe you're first financial priority as an adult is accumulating a 6 month emergency fund. We live in crazy times and if the past 3 months didn't convince you that an emergency fund is necessary I don't know what to say. I understand that even if you have a minuscule $2,000 a month budget(good luck getting a studio apartment in NYC?) my strategy requires $14,000 before you even start investing in crypto. That is way more than most people actually have and I completely empathize if you are unwilling or feel unable to wait until you have that. If you absolutely can't wait that long, I hope you at least start building towards your emergency fund using a high interest DeFi account (I recommend Nexo, Blockfi or DefiSaver). I am not a financial advisor!
Now that I have my bank accounts set up, it is time to invest in my favorite cryptocurrencies. Everyone has their own rules (DYOR!) my rule is, I only invest in coins I use. So for example I feel the C20 token is extremely interesting and I have thought about buying some, however it is an index fund not something I can spend, so at this time I'm not investing in it. I also feel EOS/Steller and some other chains are also really interesting, but same issue, I don't actually use them. What do I use? Personally I regularly spend USD(no shocker there), BTC (I've recently gotten into using the lightning network using the FOLD app), ETH(God's Unchained is better than Hearthstone, fight me!), BCH (Purse has been great!), Nexo, BNB, and Dash. Ok I don't actually spend Dash. Eventually I think I'm going to switch Dash to Monero, but either way I feel holding a privacy coin during extreme civil unrest is reasonable.
I'm definitely not here to say one coin is better than another and that my choices are correct. If you want to tell me how much of an idiot I am for using the lightning network or that spending bcash is a scam feel free to do so in the comments, just know that I don't care and I wont read them. DYOR!!
Once you have the coins you would like to hold I believe you should set a target % that you want each coin to take of your total portfolio. You can do this by saying everything is equal at 10% or as I do where each coin has it's own target percentage based on how I feel about them. DYOR!!! If the roller coaster meme gets posted and your actual percentage held goes from 10% to 15% using my strategy you would sell off that 5% and distribute it to a coin that hasn't skyrocketed(yet!). Conditional formatting in the document triggers a Green fill when a coin passes 103% of it's target % and a Red fill triggers when a coin drops below 96% of it's target %.
That's it, that's my strategy. When the market goes up I trade for some USDC and when it goes down I spend that USDC to accumulate units for the next bull run. It is very simple, but forces you to not care about fancy technical analysis or dollar averaging. Just buy when the market tells you to buy and sell when it tells you to sell. At the end of each day I click the "History" tab, copy the days data and "paste values only(Ctrl+Shift+V)" on the bottom row. When my paycheck comes in I top off my checking account to a full months budget then look to see how much my sheet recommends sending from my traditional bank account to my DeFi savings account.

Those of you who are interested I'm attaching a link to my google sheet. It is going to be able to be viewed but not edited so you will need to duplicate it to your own account to use yourself. I have added lots of tiny notes to explain different sections and help you learn how to interact with the data. One issue that may arise is if you try to copy paste the sheet. When pasting formulas, if you go to copy and paste and are only getting values click "view > show formulas" then copy paste. You wont get my many notes and pretty formatting but it's a start. Another issue is with adding the "CRYPTOFINANCE()" script. For instructions and more information. Hopefully you'll be able to duplicate this document without issue, but if not let me know and I'll do my best to troubleshoot. I'm really proud of this document and have put a lot of time and effort into it the past 3 years, so please be kind in your criticisms but by all means give me advice on ways I can improve it more.
Percentage Based Crypto Portfolio Template

I hope you found this interesting and useful,
Sincerely,
Clark Kent

Edit: One tidbit that I forgot to touch on but that is absolutely necessary to share. The cyptofinance() data pull method isn't perfect. It is not unreasonable for the prices it shares to be 20 minutes delayed. For this reason you should only use the document as a guide. Double check that the price of the coin it is telling to sell is still close to what the document believes it is.

Dividend Income Update - July 2020

Can someone help me write a grand list of available platforms (not in Wiki I checked.)

I am just trying to figure out my options for reliable algo bots with power and flexibility and reliability, which is best, so far I have...
Raspberry Pi...

Google Sheets / Microsoft Excel.
• Running Custom Scripts And Codes.

What am I missing? I can't really decide, it would help if I had a large list so I can weight the pros and cons. Can somebody please help me? Rack your brain here? This will be for algo trading Forex, Stocks, and Crypto. Maybe Commodities too.
