Amanpuri CEO ISAO FUJIWARA latest interview In March of 2020 part2

part1
https://www.reddit.com/usemimrama/comments/fqk82l/amanpuri_ceo_isao_fujiwara_latest_interview_in/
Doesn’t the dividend put pressure on management?
Kato: At AMANPURI, 5% of exchange earnings are returned to holders of AMAL tokens. Isn’t this putting pressure on management?
Fujiwara: That’s 5% as a figure to not put pressure on the management. It’s easy to tout high numbers to get users interested, but there’s no point in doing so. In fact, many of those exchanges, which they used to excuse various things, are already gone.
We hold a number of events for the enjoyment of our users, as well as dividends, but this too can’t be a management-crushing prize or content. No matter what happens, we will return the surplus funds to the users with a margin that will not affect the management.
So, while the numbers may be less impressive, it’s more reassuring than anywhere else. And I think you will be more satisfied than you ever imagined.
How do we siphon off input from the community?
Kato: It’s important to get feedback from the community, so what kind of measures does AMANPURI have in place to get feedback from the community?
Fujiwara:We don’t take any special measures, but the voices of AMAL holders and users reach the management directly. I believe that AMANPURI is a project that is relatively close to its operation and community members.
All of us members understand how important community is in the blockchain industry. In particular, the holders who have held AMAL since before AMANPURI opened are like shareholders.
However, it does not absorb all opinions. There are many different opinions, but we try not to bend our beliefs. In the end, we believe that this belief is in the best interest of the holder and the user.
If a user needs individual support, they can ask questions in the community and we can look it up and answer them right away. This support system is one of the things that we are always aware of.
Reasons for the delay in starting to offer leveraged trading
Kato: Currently, our leveraged trading offerings have been delayed from the original schedule. If you don’t mind, can you explain the situation?
Fujiwara:We will start offering leveraged trading on March 27, 2020. It was originally supposed to be available in January or February, but due to my selfishness it was postponed by about a month.
While it’s impossible to capture a large share of virtual currency users through physical trading alone, I don’t think we’re going to be able to encompass them right away just by opening up our leverage.
No matter how good an exchange is, it will take time for its usability and transparency to sink in.
We wanted to attract a sufficient number of active traders to open it from the very beginning, not to mention marketing it once we opened it. I was given a month as time to do so. As a result, the number of new accounts opened per day has been growing steadily.
For those of you who were looking forward to the start of leveraged trading in February, I’m sure I let you down a bit, but the March 27th start of leveraged trading should provide plenty of liquidity from the open and make you feel comfortable trading.
AMANPURI’s Roadmap
Kato: What is the roadmap for AMANPURI in the future? Please let us know what’s left before the full opening and if there are any new service additions planned.
Fujiwara: There are a lot of additional features from small to large, so please see the roadmap from the official website for details. In particular, we would like to see the addition of “MAM”, “MT5”, and “Forex stocks”.
Fujiwara:Most active traders and investors are familiar with MAM, but our MAM system is completely different from the MAM system offered in MT4/5 in terms of functionality and transparency. It will be a completely original MAM. It completely limits the risk and allows investors to manage their assets with peace of mind.
The addition of MT5 and forex stocks will simply increase the share of forex traders’ users. Forex currently has more users and a larger industry than cryptotrader. Our exchange will attract a lot of forex traders. We believe this will be the first time in the industry that you can use AMAL for foreign exchange commissions and get a discount on commissions.
We believe that we can provide the most profitable environment for scalpers and short-term traders anywhere. If you’re a currency trader, you may not be familiar with the idea of using tokens for commissions at first. But don’t worry. We have partners all over the world, so they will lecture you carefully and you will soon be talking about it.
A message to those who support you.
Kato: Finally, please give us a message to the people who support Amanpuri.
Fujiwara: We will open leveraged trading on March 27, 2020. Since our exchange is based on the BitMEX business model, the basic features that come with BitMEX are implemented in the same way. That’s why it’s a platform that’s readily accepted by those who are used to trading on BitMEX. It provides a very comfortable trading environment for active traders and botter.
We are an exchange that is based on BitMEX, and we have improved the confusing and difficult to use parts, added features that we wish we had, and improved the service. It is also designed to be easy to understand for those who are just starting out in trading. We invite you to join our community. At any time, you’ll have immediate support from our staff and unique members.
Our exchange is 100% A-book for both virtual currency and currency exchange. Equally and transparently at all times, we can continue to provide an environment that is comfortable for users to trade in.

03-11 16:45 - 'Coinburrow perpetual Algo Launched' (self.Bitcoin) by /u/Material_Brick removed from /r/Bitcoin within 163-173min

'''
The Australia-based exchange said Wednesday in a blog post that its new “Perpetual Algo” feature provides leverage up to three times or "3x" for individual investors in 30 countries and 23 U.S. states, including the lucrative New York market. The leverage is also available to institutional traders in 44 states and Twenty Five countries.
The 3x leverage matches C’oinBurrow’s previous margin offering from 2017. CoinBurrow, led by Analyst Allyssa Sosa, briefly offered margin trading at the time, but suspended the service later in the year. Executives had been signaling since early 2019 that they were considering reviving the effort.
The resurgent push by Coinburrow comes as competition heats up among the world’s crypto exchanges, and the biggest players are scrambling to attract customers and transaction volumes with new digital-token listings and features like better trading technology, more leverage and more-secure custody options.
“Perpetual Algo” has been one of our most requested features," Coinburrow said in the blog post.
Several big non-U.S.-based exchanges, including Binance, BitMEX and Deribit, offer leverage of 100 times or more on futures contracts and other derivatives, but many of those offerings are off-limits to American customers. While U.S. traders can get leverage to buy regulated bitcoin futures contracts on the CME and Intercontinental Exchange’s Bakkt division, those venues require special accounts to trade commodities.
Leverage is considered risky in trading because it boosts the chances of losses alongside the enhanced potential for gains.
In an example of how Coinburrow’s new offering will work, traders could put $2999 down and continue up to $10000 of bitcoin from the exchange for trading with bitcoin perpetual Algo, increasing the potential size of the bet to x2-x3 worth of bitcoin. If bitcoin’s price climbs by 33 percent, traders would double their original investment.
In the blog post, Coinburrow said the perpetual funds can be used to trade other cryptocurrencies, in addition to tripling-down on a single digital asset like bitcoin: " If deployed as part of a responsible trading strategy perpetual trading algo doesn’t just increase your position in a specific trade but can also help diversify your portfolio, allowing you to hedge or arbitrage across multiple positions without depositing additional capital."
Coinburrow is notable because it is one of only a few big cryptocurrency exchanges based in Australia., submitting to the nation’s strict regulations in exchange for access to customers from the world’s largest economy. Started in the early years of the crypto industry in 2017, Coinburrow has long been used by cryptocurrency newcomers as an “on-ramp” into bitcoin and other digital assets from dollars and other government-issued money. The company now claims to have more than 30 thousand users.
[EARN FROM THE NEW INNOVATION ( COINBURROW.]1 . )

How is BitMEX still in business?

[Tried to post to megathread -- didn't seem to work]
Hi. I came across this blog post that links to this subreddit and wanted to get your opinion. It's from the CEO of a dex called BQT. Here's an excerpt:
"[I]n addition to the derivative nature of the contracts, BitMEX will let you leverage your position 100x. And I’m not opposed to big margins. I want that for BQT too, as I’ve mentioned here before. But that leverage has to come from your counterparty, not from me. So if 99% of your position is uncovered, and the other 1% is derived from bitcoin rather than being bitcoin itself — that is, there’s an infinite amount of it rather than the mere 17.3 million bitcoins currently in existence — then there really isn’t a lot of substance to what you’re trading. It all becomes pretty meaningless. No wonder that “BitMEX” and “rekt” are two words that go together so intimately on Twitter, Reddit and I’m sure elsewhere."
The full post can be viewed on Medium, "@BQT". What do you think?

What is margin trading in crypto

What is margin trading in crypto

https://preview.redd.it/lja28ou39qd41.png?width=1000&format=png&auto=webp&s=dd157b148f210a4246f76c07a84a2378d7ed1edf
Margin trading means trading using borrowed funds. This allows you to trade larger amounts to get more profit from a single trade and increase your deposit faster. The amount allocated for the trade is provided as a credit.
It should be understood that trading with leverage involves high risks and is recommended only for professionals and experienced traders. If your forecast is incorrect, there is a risk of losing all the money on the deposit.
When opening a position, a parameter such as the liquidation price is displayed - this indicator means that when the specified rate is reached, the position is automatically closed, and the funds allocated for the trade are completely debited from the account and returned to the exchange. The higher the leverage, the closer the liquidation price is and, consequently, the higher the risks are. To avoid losses, it is recommended to allocate no more than 5-10% of the Deposit per trade, depending on the leverage size.
The second nuance that needs to be taken into account is the fees. When using leverage, the trader pays a fee in proportion to the total amount of the trade. That is, using 100x leverage, the trader will pay a fee a hundred times more, so if the forecast is not correct, the losses will be even greater. In addition to the loss from the price difference, if the exchange fee is 0.1%, the trader will lose additional 10%.

Where to trade crypto with leverage

The most popular platform for margin trading in crypto is BitMEX. The platform supports leverage up to 100x, but the selection of cryptocurrencies is small: Bitcoin and a few of the largest altcoins are available to traders. Another popular platform that provides trading with leverage is Poloniex. In 2019, Binance added margin trading as well. The last two sites are required to pass a verification for use of borrowed funds.
Traders can trade on Binance, BitMEX and Poloniex using a convenient terminal from Trade-mate.io. The platform supports Autotrade and Smart trade with trailing mechanisms. Recently, the service added support for margin trading on BitMEX via the API. Trade-mate.io was the first service of its kind to provide such an opportunity. To protect users' funds, leverage is limited to 25x.

Founded by HDR Global Trading Limited (which in turn was founded by former bankers Arthur Hayes, Samuel Reed and Ben Delo) in 2014, BitMEX is a trading platform operating around the world and registered in the Seychelles.
Meaning Bitcoin Mercantile Exchange, BitMEX is one of the largest Bitcoin trading platforms currently operating, with a daily trading volume of over 35,000 BTC and over 540,000 accesses monthly and a trading history of over $34 billion worth of Bitcoin since its inception.

https://preview.redd.it/coenpm4k3cc41.jpg?width=808&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=8832dcafa5bd615b511bbeb6118ef43d73ed785e
Unlike many other trading exchanges, BitMEX only accepts deposits through Bitcoin, which can then be used to purchase a variety of other cryptocurrencies. BitMEX specialises in sophisticated financial operations such as margin trading, which is trading with leverage. Like many of the exchanges that operate through cryptocurrencies, BitMEX is currently unregulated in any jurisdiction.

How to Sign Up to BitMEX

In order to create an account on BitMEX, users first have to register with the website. Registration only requires an email address, the email address must be a genuine address as users will receive an email to confirm registration in order to verify the account. Once users are registered, there are no trading limits. Traders must be at least 18 years of age to sign up.
https://preview.redd.it/0v13qoil3cc41.jpg?width=808&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=e6134bc089c4e352dce10d754dc84ff11a4c7994
However, it should be noted that BitMEX does not accept any US-based traders and will use IP checks to verify that users are not in the US. While some US users have bypassed this with the use of a VPN, it is not recommended that US individuals sign up to the BitMEX service, especially given the fact that alternative exchanges are available to service US customers that function within the US legal framework.
How to Use BitMEX
BitMEX allows users to trade cryptocurrencies against a number of fiat currencies, namely the US Dollar, the Japanese Yen and the Chinese Yuan. BitMEX allows users to trade a number of different cryptocurrencies, namely Bitcoin, Bitcoin Cash, Dash, Ethereum, Ethereum Classic, Litecoin, Monero, Ripple, Tezos and Zcash.
The trading platform on BitMEX is very intuitive and easy to use for those familiar with similar markets. However, it is not for the beginner. The interface does look a little dated when compared to newer exchanges like Binance and Kucoin’s.
Once users have signed up to the platform, they should click on Trade, and all the trading instruments will be displayed beneath.
Clicking on the particular instrument opens the orderbook, recent trades, and the order slip on the left. The order book shows three columns – the bid value for the underlying asset, the quantity of the order, and the total USD value of all orders, both short and long.
The widgets on the trading platform can be changed according to the user’s viewing preferences, allowing users to have full control on what is displayed. It also has a built in feature that provides for TradingView charting. This offers a wide range of charting tool and is considered to be an improvement on many of the offering available from many of its competitors.
https://preview.redd.it/fabg1nxo3cc41.jpg?width=808&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=6d939889c3eac15ab1e78ec37a8ccd13fc5e0573
Once trades are made, all orders can be easily viewed in the trading platform interface. There are tabs where users can select their Active Orders, see the Stops that are in place, check the Orders Filled (total or partially) and the trade history. On the Active Orders and Stops tabs, traders can cancel any order, by clicking the “Cancel” button. Users also see all currently open positions, with an analysis if it is in the black or red.
BitMEX uses a method called auto-deleveraging which BitMEX uses to ensure that liquidated positions are able to be closed even in a volatile market. Auto-deleveraging means that if a position bankrupts without available liquidity, the positive side of the position deleverages, in order of profitability and leverage, the highest leveraged position first in queue. Traders are always shown where they sit in the auto-deleveraging queue, if such is needed.
Although the BitMEX platform is optimized for mobile, it only has an Android app (which is not official). There is no iOS app available at present. However, it is recommended that users use it on the desktop if possible.
BitMEX offers a variety of order types for users:
  • Limit Order (the order is fulfilled if the given price is achieved);
  • Market Order (the order is executed at current market price);
  • Stop Limit Order (like a stop order, but allows users to set the price of the Order once the Stop Price is triggered);
  • Stop Market Order (this is a stop order that does not enter the order book, remain unseen until the market reaches the trigger);
  • Trailing Stop Order (it is similar to a Stop Market order, but here users set a trailing value that is used to place the market order);
  • Take Profit Limit Order (this can be used, similarly to a Stop Order, to set a target price on a position. In this case, it is in respect of making gains, rather than cutting losses);
  • Take Profit Market Order (same as the previous type, but in this case, the order triggered will be a market order, and not a limit one)
The exchange offers margin trading in all of the cryptocurrencies displayed on the website. It also offers to trade with futures and derivatives – swaps.

Futures and Swaps

A futures contract is an agreement to buy or sell a given asset in the future at a predetermined price. On BitMEX, users can leverage up to 100x on certain contracts.
Perpetual swaps are similar to futures, except that there is no expiry date for them and no settlement. Additionally, they trade close to the underlying reference Index Price, unlike futures, which may diverge substantially from the Index Price.
BitMEX also offers Binary series contracts, which are prediction-based contracts which can only settle at either 0 or 100. In essence, the Binary series contracts are a more complicated way of making a bet on a given event.
The only Binary series betting instrument currently available is related to the next 1mb block on the Bitcoin blockchain. Binary series contracts are traded with no leverage, a 0% maker fee, a 0.25% taker fee and 0.25% settlement fee.

Bitmex Leverage

BitMEX allows its traders to leverage their position on the platform. Leverage is the ability to place orders that are bigger than the users’ existing balance. This could lead to a higher profit in comparison when placing an order with only the wallet balance. Trading in such conditions is called “Margin Trading.”
There are two types of Margin Trading: Isolated and Cross-Margin. The former allows the user to select the amount of money in their wallet that should be used to hold their position after an order is placed. However, the latter provides that all of the money in the users’ wallet can be used to hold their position, and therefore should be treated with extreme caution.
https://preview.redd.it/eg4qk9qr3cc41.jpg?width=808&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=c3ca8cdf654330ce53e8138d774e72155acf0e7e
The BitMEX platform allows users to set their leverage level by using the leverage slider. A maximum leverage of 1:100 is available (on Bitcoin and Bitcoin Cash). This is quite a high level of leverage for cryptocurrencies, with the average offered by other exchanges rarely exceeding 1:20.

BitMEX Fees

For traditional futures trading, BitMEX has a straightforward fee schedule. As noted, in terms of leverage offered, BitMEX offers up to 100% leverage, with the amount off leverage varying from product to product.
However, it should be noted that trading at the highest leverages is sophisticated and is intended for professional investors that are familiar with speculative trading. The fees and leverage are as follows:
https://preview.redd.it/wvhiepht3cc41.jpg?width=730&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=0617eb894c13d3870211a01d51af98561907cb99

https://preview.redd.it/qhi8izcu3cc41.jpg?width=730&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=09da4efe1de4214b0b5b9c7501aba5320e846b4c
However, there are additional fees for hidden / iceberg orders. A hidden order pays the taker fee until the entire hidden quantity is completely executed. Then, the order will become normal, and the user will receive the maker rebate for the non-hidden amount.

Deposits and Withdrawals

BitMEX does not charge fees on deposits or withdrawals. However, when withdrawing Bitcoin, the minimum Network fee is based on blockchain load. The only costs therefore are those of the banks or the cryptocurrency networks.
As noted previously, BitMEX only accepts deposits in Bitcoin and therefore Bitcoin serves as collateral on trading contracts, regardless of whether or not the trade involves Bitcoin.
The minimum deposit is 0.001 BTC. There are no limits on withdrawals, but withdrawals can also be in Bitcoin only. To make a withdrawal, all that users need to do is insert the amount to withdraw and the wallet address to complete the transfer.
https://preview.redd.it/xj1kbuew3cc41.jpg?width=808&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=68056f2247001c63e89c880cfbb75b2f3616e8fe
Deposits can be made 24/7 but withdrawals are processed by hand at a recurring time once per day. The hand processed withdrawals are intended to increase the security levels of users’ funds by providing extra time (and email notice) to cancel any fraudulent withdrawal requests, as well as bypassing the use of automated systems & hot wallets which may be more prone to compromise.

Supported Currencies

BitMEX operates as a crypto to crypto exchange and makes use of a Bitcoin-in/Bitcoin-out structure. Therefore, platform users are currently unable to use fiat currencies for any payments or transfers, however, a plus side of this is that there are no limits for trading and the exchange incorporates trading pairs linked to the US Dollar (XBT), Japanese Yen (XBJ), and Chinese Yuan (XBC).
BitMEX supports the following cryptocurrencies:
  • Bitcoin (XBT)
  • Bitcoin Cash (BCH)
  • Ethereum (ETH)
  • Ethereum Classic (ETC)
  • Litecoin (LTC)
  • Ripple Token (XRP)
  • Monero (XMR)
  • Dash (DASH)
  • Zcash (ZEC)
  • Cardano (ADA)
  • Tron (TRX)
  • EOS Token (EOS)
BitMEX also offers leverage options on the following coins:
  • 5x: Zcash (ZEC)
  • 20x : Ripple (XRP),Bitcoin Cash (BCH), Cardano (ADA), EOS Token (EOS), Tron (TRX)
  • 25x: Monero (XMR)
  • 33x: Litecoin (LTC)
  • 50x: Ethereum (ETH)
  • 100x: Bitcoin (XBT), Bitcoin / Yen (XBJ), Bitcoin / Yuan (XBC)

Trading Technologies International Partnership

HDR Global Trading, the company which owns BitMEX, has recently announced a partnership with Trading Technologies International, Inc. (TT), a leading international high-performance trading software provider.
The TT platform is designed specifically for professional traders, brokers, and market-access providers, and incorporates a wide variety of trading tools and analytical indicators that allow even the most advanced traders to customize the software to suit their unique trading styles. The TT platform also provides traders with global market access and trade execution through its privately managed infrastructure and the partnership will see BitMEX users gaining access to the trading tools on all BitMEX products, including the popular XBT/USD Perpetual Swap pairing.

The BitMEX Insurance Fund

The ability to trade on leverage is one of the exchange’s main selling points and offering leverage and providing the opportunity for traders to trade against each other may result in a situation where the winners do not receive all of their expected profits. As a result of the amounts of leverage involved, it’s possible that the losers may not have enough margin in their positions to pay the winners.
Traditional exchanges like the Chicago Mercantile Exchange (CME) offset this problem by utilizing multiple layers of protection and cryptocurrency trading platforms offering leverage cannot currently match the levels of protection provided to winning traders.
In addition, cryptocurrency exchanges offering leveraged trades propose a capped downside and unlimited upside on a highly volatile asset with the caveat being that on occasion, there may not be enough funds in the system to pay out the winners.
To help solve this problem, BitMEX has developed an insurance fund system, and when a trader has an open leveraged position, their position is forcefully closed or liquidated when their maintenance margin is too low.
Here, a trader’s profit and loss does not reflect the actual price their position was closed on the market, and with BitMEX when a trader is liquidated, their equity associated with the position drops down to zero.
In the following example, the trader has taken a 100x long position. In the event that the mark price of Bitcoin falls to $3,980 (by 0.5%), then the position gets liquidated with the 100 Bitcoin position needing to be sold on the market.
This means that it does not matter what price this trade executes at, namely if it’s $3,995 or $3,000, as from the view of the liquidated trader, regardless of the price, they lose all the equity they had in their position, and lose the entire one Bitcoin.
https://preview.redd.it/wel3rka04cc41.png?width=669&format=png&auto=webp&s=3f93dac2d3b40aa842d281384113d2e26f25947e
Assuming there is a fully liquid market, the bid/ask spread should be tighter than the maintenance margin. Here, liquidations manifest as contributions to the insurance fund (e.g. if the maintenance margin is 50bps, but the market is 1bp wide), and the insurance fund should rise by close to the same amount as the maintenance margin when a position is liquidated. In this scenario, as long as healthy liquid markets persist, the insurance fund should continue its steady growth.
The following graphs further illustrate the example, and in the first chart, market conditions are healthy with a narrow bid/ask spread (just $2) at the time of liquidation. Here, the closing trade occurs at a higher price than the bankruptcy price (the price where the margin balance is zero) and the insurance fund benefits.
Illustrative example of an insurance contribution – Long 100x with 1 BTC collateral
https://preview.redd.it/is89ep924cc41.png?width=699&format=png&auto=webp&s=f0419c68fe88703e594c121b5b742c963c7e2229
(Note: The above illustration is based on opening a 100x long position at $4,000 per BTC and 1 Bitcoin of collateral. The illustration is an oversimplification and ignores factors such as fees and other adjustments.
The bid and offer prices represent the state of the order book at the time of liquidation. The closing trade price is $3,978, representing $1 of slippage compared to the $3,979 bid price at the time of liquidation.)
The second chart shows a wide bid/ask spread at the time of liquidation, here, the closing trade takes place at a lower price than the bankruptcy price, and the insurance fund is used to make sure that winning traders receive their expected profits.
This works to stabilize the potential for returns as there is no guarantee that healthy market conditions can continue, especially during periods of heightened price volatility. During these periods, it’s actually possible that the insurance fund can be used up than it is built up.
Illustrative example of an insurance depletion – Long 100x with 1 BTC collateral
https://preview.redd.it/vb4mj3n54cc41.png?width=707&format=png&auto=webp&s=0c63b7c99ae1c114d8e3b947fb490e9144dfe61b
(Notes: The above illustration is based on opening a 100x long position at $4,000 per BTC and 1 Bitcoin of collateral. The illustration is an oversimplification and ignores factors such as fees and other adjustments.
The bid and offer prices represent the state of the order book at the time of liquidation. The closing trade price is $3,800, representing $20 of slippage compared to the $3,820 bid price at the time of liquidation.)
The exchange declared in February 2019, that the BitMEX insurance fund retained close to 21,000 Bitcoin (around $70 million based on Bitcoin spot prices at the time).
This figure represents just 0.007% of BitMEX’s notional annual trading volume, which has been quoted as being approximately $1 trillion. This is higher than the insurance funds as a proportion of trading volume of the CME, and therefore, winning traders on BitMEX are exposed to much larger risks than CME traders as:
  • BitMEX does not have clearing members with large balance sheets and traders are directly exposed to each other.
  • BitMEX does not demand payments from traders with negative account balances.
  • The underlying instruments on BitMEX are more volatile than the more traditional instruments available on CME.
Therefore, with the insurance fund remaining capitalized, the system effectively with participants who get liquidated paying for liquidations, or a losers pay for losers mechanism.
This system may appear controversial as first, though some may argue that there is a degree of uniformity to it. It’s also worth noting that the exchange also makes use of Auto Deleveraging which means that on occasion, leveraged positions in profit can still be reduced during certain time periods if a liquidated order cannot be executed in the market.
More adventurous traders should note that while the insurance fund holds 21,000 Bitcoin, worth approximately 0.1% of the total Bitcoin supply, BitMEX still doesn’t offer the same level of guarantees to winning traders that are provided by more traditional leveraged trading platforms.
Given the inherent volatility of the cryptocurrency market, there remains some possibility that the fund gets drained down to zero despite its current size. This may result in more successful traders lacking confidence in the platform and choosing to limit their exposure in the event of BitMEX being unable to compensate winning traders.

How suitable is BitMEX for Beginners?

BitMEX generates high Bitcoin trading levels, and also attracts good levels of volume across other crypto-to-crypto transfers. This helps to maintain a buzz around the exchange, and BitMEX also employs relatively low trading fees, and is available round the world (except to US inhabitants).
This helps to attract the attention of people new to the process of trading on leverage and when getting started on the platform there are 5 main navigation Tabs to get used to:

  • **API:**From here you can set up an API connection with BitMEX, and utilize the REST API and WebSocket API.
BitMEX also employs 24/7 customer support and the team can also be contacted on their Twitter and Reddit accounts.
In addition, BitMEX provides a variety of educational resources including an FAQ section, Futures guides, Perpetual Contracts guides, and further resources in the “References” account tab.
For users looking for more in depth analysis, the BitMEX blog produces high level descriptions of a number of subjects and has garnered a good reputation among the cryptocurrency community.
Most importantly, the exchange also maintains a testnet platform, built on top of testnet Bitcoin, which allows anyone to try out programs and strategies before moving on to the live exchange.
This is crucial as despite the wealth of resources available, BitMEX is not really suitable for beginners, and margin trading, futures contracts and swaps are best left to experienced, professional or institutional traders.
Margin trading and choosing to engage in leveraged activity are risky processes and even more advanced traders can describe the process as a high risk and high reward “game”. New entrants to the sector should spend a considerable amount of time learning about margin trading and testing out strategies before considering whether to open a live account.

Is BitMEX Safe?

BitMEX is widely considered to have strong levels of security. The platform uses multi-signature deposits and withdrawal schemes which can only be used by BitMEX partners. BitMEX also utilises Amazon Web Services to protect the servers with text messages and two-factor authentication, as well as hardware tokens.
BitMEX also has a system for risk checks, which requires that the sum of all account holdings on the website must be zero. If it’s not, all trading is immediately halted. As noted previously, withdrawals are all individually hand-checked by employees, and private keys are never stored in the cloud. Deposit addresses are externally verified to make sure that they contain matching keys. If they do not, there is an immediate system shutdown.
https://preview.redd.it/t04qs3484cc41.jpg?width=808&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=a3b106cbc9116713dcdd5e908c00b555fd704ee6
In addition, the BitMEX trading platform is written in kdb+, a database and toolset popular amongst major banks in high frequency trading applications. The BitMEX engine appears to be faster and more reliable than some of its competitors, such as Poloniex and Bittrex.
They have email notifications, and PGP encryption is used for all communication.
The exchange hasn’t been hacked in the past.

How Secure is the platform?

As previously mentioned, BitMEX is considered to be a safe exchange and incorporates a number of security protocols that are becoming standard among the sector’s leading exchanges. In addition to making use of Amazon Web Services’ cloud security, all the exchange’s systems can only be accessed after passing through multiple forms of authentication, and individual systems are only able to communicate with each other across approved and monitored channels.
Communication is also further secured as the exchange provides optional PGP encryption for all automated emails, and users can insert their PGP public key into the form inside their accounts.
Once set up, BitMEX will encrypt and sign all the automated emails sent by you or to your account by the [[email protected]](mailto:[email protected]) email address. Users can also initiate secure conversations with the support team by using the email address and public key on the Technical Contact, and the team have made their automated system’s PGP key available for verification in their Security Section.
The platform’s trading engine is written in kdb+, a database and toolset used by leading financial institutions in high-frequency trading applications, and the speed and reliability of the engine is also used to perform a full risk check after every order placement, trade, settlement, deposit, and withdrawal.
All accounts in the system must consistently sum to zero, and if this does not happen then trading on the platform is immediately halted for all users.
With regards to wallet security, BitMEX makes use of a multisignature deposit and withdrawal scheme, and all exchange addresses are multisignature by default with all storage being kept offline. Private keys are not stored on any cloud servers and deep cold storage is used for the majority of funds.
Furthermore, all deposit addresses sent by the BitMEX system are verified by an external service that works to ensure that they contain the keys controlled by the founders, and in the event that the public keys differ, the system is immediately shut down and trading halted. The exchange’s security practices also see that every withdrawal is audited by hand by a minimum of two employees before being sent out.

BitMEX Customer Support

The trading platform has a 24/7 support on multiple channels, including email, ticket systems and social media. The typical response time from the customer support team is about one hour, and feedback on the customer support generally suggest that the customer service responses are helpful and are not restricted to automated responses.
https://preview.redd.it/8k81zl0a4cc41.jpg?width=808&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=e30e5b7ca93d2931f49e2dc84025f2fda386eab1
The BitMEX also offers a knowledge base and FAQs which, although they are not necessarily always helpful, may assist and direct users towards the necessary channels to obtain assistance.
BitMEX also offers trading guides which can be accessed here

Conclusion

There would appear to be few complaints online about BitMEX, with most issues relating to technical matters or about the complexities of using the website. Older complaints also appeared to include issues relating to low liquidity, but this no longer appears to be an issue.
BitMEX is clearly not a platform that is not intended for the amateur investor. The interface is complex and therefore it can be very difficult for users to get used to the platform and to even navigate the website.
However, the platform does provide a wide range of tools and once users have experience of the platform they will appreciate the wide range of information that the platform provides.

Binance is one of the largest crypto-exchanges in the world, which, thanks to innovative approaches, quickly took a leading position in the market. This year, the exchange launched margin trading with leverage and futures trading.
Now the Binance platform has launched a payment gateway that allows you to buy and sell cryptocurrencies for Russian rubles. The minimum purchase amount is only 1,000 rubles.
You can buy cryptocurrency in two ways:
  • Buy cryptocurrency using Simplex or Koinal wallet, paying for the transaction by Bank transfer via Visa or Mastercard. There is a 2.5% fee. The transfer may take up to 3 days.
  • You can replenish your Binance account through the AdvCash payment system and buy cryptocurrencies from the exchange's internal account. In this case, the funds arrive within a few minutes.
With the help of these wallets, you can withdraw rubles. Deposit and withdrawal using AdvCash is carried out without a fee. But that's not all. Now Binance supports other fiat currencies. You can also buy Bitcoin and altcoins for:
  • USD
  • EUR
  • CNY
  • TRY
  • UAH
  • KZT
  • NGN
  • INR
Trade-mate.io service provides automated trading on the Binance crypto exchange, as well as on Bitmex and Poloniex through the API. Traders can use trading signals provided by professionals, telegram channels or bots. For manual trading, the service provides an advanced Smart Trade function that supports trailing stop-loss and take-profit, due to which it is possible to maximize profit and reduce risks when trading cryptocurrencies.

Daily spikes, now I know where they come from

Last week I asked if anyone know why we see spikes of several hundred USD in just a few minutes. Here is the original post: https://www.reddit.com/BitcoinMarkets/comments/9h8dx5/daily_spikes_up_and_down_where_do_they_come_from/

Last night I listened to a interview with Travis Kling a institutional investor who explains why we are seeing these spikes and many other things. It's one of the most important crypto-price related interviews I listened to so I really recommend it:
https://dailyhodl.com/2018/09/23/bitcoin-ethereum-ripple-and-xrp-hedge-fund-investor-rings-alarm-on-kiss-of-death-listings-and-fckery-trading/
In short: On bitmex you can short/long with leverage up to 100x. Institutional traders are able by polling the orderdepth and other data several times per second to use their tools to build up a picture of where orders will be margin called if the price moves a certain way. By having a image of this when the time is right all they need to do is push the price in a direction and a lot of long or shorts will get margin called and the price will make a significant move. They can trade that move since they can be 100% sure it will happen. If you are trading and don't use these kind of tools chances are pretty good you are losing your money to those using such tools.
I observed (from my original post) that this price behaviour didn't exist last year. But during the bear market this has become possible so we are seeing more and more of this.
I really recommend listing to the whole interview. There is some important information about ICOs as well which is super ugly.

Bitcoin Spot and Futures Markets 101

Unfortunately there is a lot of amateurs posting in Bitcoin as if they understand futures, markets and trading, but their posts contain absurdly inaccurate information. They appear to be motivated by their fears and trying to calm themselves.
There is NO fundamental reason to panic about the futures once they are established and sophisticated market operators are fully active they are great news for Bitcoin as they will bring liquidity and probably lower volatility.
However because people are very misinformed about the importance of understanding the basis (B) or spread between spot and futures prices and it's origins and interpretation so they are more vulnerable to manipulators strategies both upwards and downwards by sophisticated futures traders attempting to use momentum ignition manipulation during the initial days and weeks the contracts go live!
http://www.theoptionsguide.com/futures-basis.aspx
Hopefully in BitcoinMarkets we can be more sophisticated than the 101 and some theory means posts so there is nothing to worry about people ... nonsense! If you don't understand it then you do have something to worry about! You will be manipulated into buying at highs when B >> 0 and selling at lows when B << 0 unless you know what you are looking at.
Use your brains and educate yourself so you understand what is happening. Learn about and watch all of the spreads! Futures and spot and also between exchanges. BitMEX is a futures exchange so make sure you remember that.
It would be a great service to the community if the Bitcoinity operator could add various spreads and then it will be easier for people to watch for futures driven momentum ignition and learn to avoid being gamed by the professionals, however public access to real time futures prices is not possible and probably going to make problems as people don't realize the futures prices they are seeing are stale.
Some spot and futures 101 in the context of Bitcoin futures:
Understanding Buyers and Sellers Futures Arbitrage between Futures and Spot
B = F - S
The basics of the arbitrage opportunity between spot price S and futures price F is easy to understand. Let's review that first and then we can dive into settlement and delivery specifics.
To make things simple imagine you can borrow what ever capital K you like and that is the source of all your money (this is actually how it works for primary dealer level banks).
Sellers arbitrage
At time 0 assume B >> 0, so for example F0= $20,000/coin and S0=$15,000/coin.
You sell the future at F and buy the spot as S. You do this for 1 bitcoin worth, the size of a single CBOE futures contract. Your position is 1 short futures contract and 1 bitcoin.
At time 1 the future expires and is delivered or settled. For a physically delivered future you transfer your Bitcoin you own from buying at the spot exchange to the delivery location/system of the futures exchange. If the future is physically delivered your profit is
P = F0 - S0 - C
Where C are the costs to deliver and the cost of capital. Your capital K needed for this trade is
K = S0 + max(F between time 0 and 1) x %margin rate.
Since you borrowed K you will pay interest of that loan as part of your costs. If the futures price rises above where you sold your contract you will need to borrow additional K to fund the futures margins
we will come revisit cash settled futures later
Buyers
At time 0 assume B << 0, so for example F0= $15,000/coin and S0=$20,000/coin.
Assume you have a friend who owns massive amounts of Bitcoin and expects to continue to do so and trusts you and will let you borrow just one little coin for many months for a small fee because he knows you will give it back! I'm sure all of you have a friend like that.
You borrow your friend's 1 bitcoin and sell it on spot for price S0 (the high price remember and only at the spot exchange do you see such a juicy nice high price!) at the same time you buy 1 futures contract.
At time 1 the future expires and is delivered or settled. For a physically delivered future the futures exchange turns over 1 Bitcoin which you return to your friend. If the future is physically delivered your profit is
P = S0 - F0 - C
Where C are the costs to return the Bitcoin to your friend and the cost of capital. Your capital K needed for this trade is
K = min(F between time 0 and 1) x %margin rate + ? (maybe zero because you gave the keys to your old car to your friend so he can really trust you that you will give back his bitcoin you borrowed from him to sell it)
Since you borrowed K you will pay interest of that loan as part of your costs. If the futures price falls below where you bought your contract you will need to borrow additional K to fund the futures margin.
How cash settled futures changes things
Sellers arbitrage
You can't deliver bitcoin to the exchange for delivery instead you will be paid cash USD fiat by the exchange based on an additional reference price R. Additionally in order to repay your loan for K you will need to sell that one bitcoin you own, no sorry you don't get to keep it as a souvenir on your phone for how smart you are. You sell your 1 bitcoin back on spot at time 1 for price S1.
Now your profit looks instead like this
P = F0 - S0 - R + S1 - C
only IF R==S1 then your profit is the same as in deliverable futures arbitrage
Buyers arbitrage
Very annoyingly the exchange is not going to give you a bitcoin to give back to your friend! He is gonna keep asking, he even has already gone for a drive in your car a few minutes before the futures expire, told you call me on my cell when you have my coin!
You need to go back to the spot market and buy his coin for him. The futures exchange will pay you some USD based on that reference price R. You buy your friend's replacement coin back at spot exchange for price S1
Your new profit is:
P = S0 - F0 - S1 + R - C
only IF R==S1 then your profit is the same as in deliverable futures arbitrage
So this fuss is all about R vs S1
Yes.
So why would they be different? Because everyone doing either buyers or sellers arbs really wants them to be the same because then everything works!
But we don't always get what we want!
A lot of effort will be put by professionals to implement execution systems where for their firm they expect to make their S1 that they achieve for themselves either the same or perhaps better for them than the price R. The best firms will make the most money.
But this is all clearly harder and more complex and riskier than the pure instantaneous risk free arbitrage available with physically delivered futures.
Please read this longer post of mine if you want to think and learn more about this topic:

How to Make Ethereum Moon to $10k+

So for context I was recently reading this post and read this response and it gave me this wonderful idea to achieve the flippening almost instantly and make ETH moon 10x in a matter of months (or less).

Let me outline my method as follows; Warning though you're going to need a lot of friends to coordinate this and you're gonna need a lot of balls + some decent risk appetite + the need to stomach a big loss if I'm wrong:

Congratulations!!! You're just like the guys at Bitfinex but you didn't need to run an exchange, be a whale or print your own token to do this; like true millenials all the hard work was done; even this stupid article telling you what to do! Now just get a few (thousand) mates together and get started the modern day LAN party of FOMO fueler lambo whale/minnow catalytic converter trading party to Konami code your way to instant wealth and fuel that never ending bitchin bubble that's crypto!!! LETS GET RICH PEOPLE

Disclaimer: This post is strictly parody. The suggested method will probably fail spectacularly and leave you with substantial debts, financial losses and misery. Any references to Bitfinex MakerDAO or any other company referenced in this article including all other content are purely for the purposes of parody; no factual claims have been made, no opinions, assertions or statements made in this article should be taken seriously or as meaningful trading/investing advice. I am not a qualified financial analyst or consultant; you make your own trading and investing decisions at your own risk and take full responsibility. Bitcoin Cash: A Reflection on How Far We’ve Come

On August 1, Bitcoin resumed its original roadmap, scaling on-chain towards global adoption as Peer-to-Peer Electronic Cash.
It’s been just 3 and a half months since Bitcoin Cash broke away from BTC in order avoid a software mutation called Segwit, and to restore progress and growth to the ecosystem.
After a recent price rally that saw us reach 0.5 BTC ($3000), the reality is setting in that an overnight ‘flippening’ scenario that some people hoped for is unlikely, and that we have a longer road ahead.
It’s really important to remember how much has been achieved in such a short time.
Let’s take a moment to reflect on how far we’ve come as a young community.
July:
August:
September:
October:
November:
This rate and scale of industry adoption is unprecedented.
With every BTC holder receiving an equal amount of Bitcoin Cash, and with the price over $1300, the rate and scale of user adoption is unprecedented.
With fast, reliable transactions and fees that are less than 1 cent, and with both BitPay & Coinbase hinting at a full Bitcoin Cash integration, the rate and scale of merchant adoption will be unprecedented.
With unprecedented industry, user and merchant adoption, it’s only a matter of time until Bitcoin Cash becomes the default medium of exchange and store of value cryptocurrency.
The old Bitcoin is back. You can feel it. It’s the resurgence of a grassroots movement not seen for years. People are putting Bitcoin Cash posters in the streets, handing out leaflets, tipping strangers a few dollars online, and asking in forums how they can contribute to the community.
Just in the last couple of days a ‘Bitcoin Cash Fund’ was established, to assist with marketing and projects. The initial goal was $200 to make a short animated advert, but over $17,000 has been donated already. All of this positivity and energy is inspiring.
While businesses are being forced to abandon BTC due to exorbitant and skyrocketing fees (upwards of $10), they’re being cheered on every day as they embrace Bitcoin Cash.
The original vision is still alive. As an early bitcoiner, I’ve never been more optimistic.
Make sure you involve yourself in the community, we’re just getting started :)

Algorithmic Crypto Trading Bots - Napoleon Software

Just to give a little intro of who we are!
Napoleon Group launched in 2016 to reinvent financial investment based on two fields of expertise: quantitative trading and blockchain technology. Headquartered in Paris, France, Napoleon Group comprises three divisions:

We are also known under NapoleonX Project. Our white paper baseline included delivering a platform and offering low-frequency trading signals to our NPX token holders. Based on the company extensive experience, we gathered more than 50 FIAT & Crypto strategies delivering trading signals at midnight UTC.
That’s when we came up with our fourth company. Napoleon Software, which offers a professional and automated trading bot solution to anyone.

Napoleon Software
Currently, we have just launched a software that executes our trading signals automatically. Our signals are based on long-standing, high-performance algorithmic strategies running on a variety of highly liquid assets.
These trading signals are offered to our community on our website napoleonx.ai; you can check our historical data for each strategy on the platform. For this automatization bot, we will create an API connected to margin trading exchanges (Currently working with Bitmex & Kraken. More exchanges will be added). Why people should stop panicking about bitcoin futures being added.

I've seen a TON of FUD about futures being added. Everyone is saying it will be shorted, they have been buying coins and pumping the price so they can dump it all and short it, etc etc
Now I think there might be a dip on Monday, but because of people panic selling, not because institutional investors have come together for the heist of the century.
I'm going to list some reasons off the top of my head, why it's not as dramatic as people are making it out to be, in no particular order:
  1. You can already short bitcoin on Bitmex, etc, this is still a major development of course and will allow institutional investors a more legitimate course of actions, but lets not pretend this will be the first time you can short bitcoin. This means they can put more, assuming they were limited by the lack of familiarity/trust with other platforms - but considering CME only has 3.6 billion in revenue and a big crash would leave them with a liquidity crisis (especially since it would cause a chain reaction pushing price even lower), I don't think they'd let themselves be hammered like that. The high margins are concerning but the 20% swing is fair enough.
  2. Bitcoin is global - Japan by itself has half the worlds Bitcoin trading volume. Wall street can't control demand or price, they could flood with sell orders to crash but that is more of a gamble than a sure thing especially in this emerging market.
  3. Investors, big institutional investors, seem to be bullish on Bitcoin with the upcoming futures - including international investors, thus the price rise. They tend to be more informed than the average chicken-with-their-head-cut-off on /bitcoin, and they seem to think the overall view is positive.
  4. ETF's - Bitcoins will probably be accessible through ETFs once futures are established. Easier Bitcoin in your IRA?
  5. Increased attention and flow of capital into bitcoin will have a positive effect on price.
  6. Not everyone shorts - Reddit seems to imagine wall st as a cable of sneering jews, eager and ready to crash companies for profit. Sure, if it's convenient or a good bet, but if they think the natural direction of bitcoin is UP, they will long it, not short it, and move whatever influence they have to raise the price not lower it. They are just as likely to buy at once to raise the price, as they are to sell at once to lower the price, and in fact the former is probably less risky if it doesn't pay off.
  7. Bitcoin has good memes, great memes even, and Bitcoin and Doge both have a bright future in the meme timeline
  8. Bitcoin would be relatively risky to short - are you going to risk a billion dollars knowing that the slightest good government news out of China, or Japan, or some other country or even just unpredictable natural market forces with no good news, will wipe out your position?

DAppTotal: Airdrop Of EIDOS Is A Disaster, Top Player May Profit Over Tens Of Thousands Of Dollars Citing data by DAppTotal, ever since EIDOS launched the airdrop event, the number of its 24h active users has reached 1,260, that of its 24h transactions has surpassed 1.89 million, and its 24h trading volume has registered 1,770 EOS. Such popularity has never been seen in any other EOS DApps, according to DAppTotal. Blockchain security firm PeckShield revealed that the airdrop event of EIDOS led to the price surge of CPU, which means normal EOS transactions between users could fail and most of the users are not able to play with gaming DApps under a congested EOS network. As reported by CoinNess.com earlier, the current CPU price for 1 EOS is 0.0001 EOS. Two days ago, however, one could use 1 EOS to rent 3,600 EOS for 30 days. This indicates an increase of more than 16 times because of the EIDOS hype. DAppTotal researchers found that as of now, players have made 35.83 million transactions, containing 3.39 million EIDOS tokens, to the account ‘eidosonecoin,’ 95% of which had only 0.0001 EOS sent. If a user sold all of the EIDOS tokens at peak prices, his or her earnings could be more than tens of thousands of dollars. It is really harmful to the EOS ecosystem, said the researchers.
At Least 23k Emails Leaked By BitMEX, Claims Research Director At The Block Larry Cermak, Director of Research at The Block, tweeted, “I now have access to 23,000 emails that were leaked by BitMEX. Surprisingly, there is only one person that used a .gov email. There were 66 students/alumni that used .edu email. NYU dominates (7 people), followed by Berkley, and University of Michigan.” BitMEX has previously made a response to the leaked email address in its blog post, saying that in this instance, beyond email addresses, no other personal data or account information has been disclosed and no further emails have been sent. “The error which has caused this has been identified and fixed, ensuring our usual high standards of privacy are upheld,” the company claimed.

Personal experience: "I lost everything." I lost all my cryptocurrency and fiat assets, and I have no one to blame for this, except myself. Throughout the 2018 bear market, I accumulated as much BTC and ETH as possible. I believed in the technology and financial freedom that it offers.
I studied at the university, I had a part-time job - most of the money I earned and student loans I invested every month in the purchase of cryptocurrency. Despite the fact that the bear market reduced the value of my investment portfolio, I continued to buy, because I was sure that in the future it would pay off in one day. I was in my last year at university and thought that the cryptocurrency would at least help me pay off student loans. And the last couple of months, it seemed, everything went according to plan - the cryptocurrency grew in time for my release.
And then I discovered Bitmex.
Within a month, this discovery ruined my life. I started with a small deposit of 0.01 BTC, and I managed to increase it to 0.2 BTC during the week. I was delighted. Then, as soon as I did this, I lost everything because of one fast moving market. So I created a new account, thinking that I know what to do this time, and made a slightly larger amount. Liquidation. I replenished the deposit again. Liquidation.
It got to the point that there was no money left on my balance for a deposit, and it was here that I made the biggest mistake. I decided to “borrow” funds from my cold BTC and ETH wallets in order to try to recover everything I lost on Bitmex. Now I know that this approach to trading never works. Today marked the end of my career as a crypto trader - all my positions on Altcoins were eliminated when Bitcoin broke through $ 9000 with an almost instantaneous dump.
Everything I collected in a bear market was lost right in front of a bull market. I lost only 1 BTC, which may seem like a small loss to some of you, but it was literally all that I had. I have nothing left now. I do not have the opportunity to repay my student loans. I'm scared. I do not know what to do.
And what exactly you shouldn't do is not to mess around with margin trading and leverage, if you really don't know what you are doing. Help me (btc)12CARxwDBdJL9m4vzDRDwHExcXtnJUGBGp / (eth)0xa36fd9b5ec5d0c150d14f3c18ab23e18131db1e8 / (ltc)LTaotjaBuJp1w35fVVHiQ5AUeEFhTygfM7

WARNING: BITMEX LIQUIDATION ENGINE. back to square 1 for me

I must start by saying this is my personal experience. It comes with a bit of a read but the warning is within the story. I share what I know from testing and past success. Feel free to read backstory or just jump to BITMEX AND LIQ. ENGINE
QUICK BACKSTORY(read if you want main story below)
So let me start by telling you that I had the opportunity to buy bitcoin back in 2012 when it was trading around $5 USD a coin. I was going to put a little bit of my money into it but due to me being in high school(in 2012) and finding the internet rather annoying at that time. When I came upon Bitcoin in 2012 I read into it but due to me not really understanding economics, passed it off as other internet fad and did not pay any more attention to Bitcoin or blockchain at all. Here we stand a few years later but its fine sometimes we miss opportunity. That said, I started getting more involved this space a bit before the big uptick we all experience in December. Here is where the story really begins. So I began trading some of my money and began to learn and understand what I was doing. Essentially doing my homework and putting in the studying hours to understand Technical Analysis, past market conditions, compared to current market conditions. Literally anything I could get my hands on to progress my knowledge in the field of trading. Equally I was putting money down and not always making the best decisions which by my experience has always been the best way to learn. Either way, I began to understand what I was doing and began trading some more of my money with a success rate I was rather happy with.
I ended up leaving college because I told myself that this was time better spent. I left my job because I was making more money doing this. I even sold my vehicle because I was sure I could make it back. This is when I found out about Bitmex and equally found out that in the US we are not aloud to use it. Ok fine. I was trading my money and was satisfied with what I was making. Unfortunately sometimes life happens. I experienced a life emergency that required me to get my hands on any funds I could so I sold basically all my holdings to take care of what was immediately at hand. Life happens.
BITMEX AND LIQ. ENGINE
Recently I got the opportunity to leave US and come into a region where BITMEX is aloud. I got very excited and told myself it was time to try it. Let me start by telling you that trading on margin is nothing like trading with your own money....whole different ball game that I did not expect. But I embraced it and told myself I was up for the challenge. When I started I first started trading here the returns where almost unreal. If I was not convinced I could do it before. This sold me. Now ill share that before I had the chance to become profitable here I lost a significant amount of money on MEX close to 1000 US dollars before I really got into a trading strategy that worked for me. A lot of money a lot of man hours.($1000 a lot for a person building in life)
Here is where it really begins and what I feel is actually going on within BITMEX. Once I became moderately successful in trading on BITMEX, almost immediately did that change. It all started with an 800% ROE I made. Right after this is where BITMEX literally began to liquidate my account. Ill think ill deem it appropriate to share with you that I am not just some person who wants to make money on the bitcoin trend....no, I began making a living out of this. and when I say I developed a working strategy this essentially means one or 2 trades a day where I wait for nice uptick or the inverse and close in profit. BUY & SELL orders in place. moderate stop loss but equally not taking risky trades or attempting to scalp. There is a reason people say dumb money and in my opinion, this is not who BITMEX is targeting, people who want to buy at the peaks and sell at rock bottom essentially liquidate themselves. They are not the issue. Nor are the big players or real market makers the targets because at the end of the day BITEMX makes out nicely from maker makes. Who BITMEX targets are individuals like myself who take time to read charts do appropriate TA and understand overall market conditions before taking any position. People who take time to learn and begin to make a moderate profit. Moderate profit takers are, at the end of the day, a problem for BITMEX and must mean that if we are being paid out at too high of a rate, essentially we are biting into their own profits. After that 800% ROE it was almost as if my trading strategy or myself was targeted because after I that, I have yet to make another successful move, even on this ginormous uptick. Even when my trading strategy began to not be the most efficient, I built on it. Like any good investor would....we must adapt to market conditions. Here is what I honestly think is happening. In our modern day of AI it is not to far fetched to think that a profitable company such as BITMEX has created an algorithm that essentially acts directly agains profitable individuals. . Having a large holding is one thing but having access to immediate information on trading information, where buy/sell are placed, above or below the market. Information on stop losses and Liq. price are all crucial pieces of information that they have access to. It is not to difficult to write up a neural network that takes all of the above information(BUY/SELL orders, Liq. price, stop losses ) and is told to work within certain perameters to either Liquidate or come fairly close to average liquidation price simply to scare off potential investors. This is what i suspect is happening. It would very much mean nice profits off of individuals closing unfavorable positions in current market conditions. I am not just suspecting this, I have tested it. I have put even more of my own money down just to prove myself right and time and time again my suspicions come true. Today I write to you all as a fair warning that I am almost definite BITMEX works agains individuals like myself and moderate profit takers like me. I am currently in a very unfavorable life situation because of this liquidation algorithm they have. Currently I have no BTC holding because what I was using to build up essentially was taken by BITMEX. Let me tell you that I am not over leveraging, Let me tell you I don't put down on a position unless I am comfortable and full in well knowing that there is a chance to lose my money and equally let me tell you that I am not just jumping into positions....my positions are calculated and thought out as are my exit points. But to experience what I have here really hurts and I am not an emotional individual but really, within this situation I feel physically sick and a real ache in my heart. This is followed full in well with knowing the current worth of BTC and knowing the overall direction we are going. I have given up my whole life, have been making money doing this, and was saving to move forward within my situation but to be reduced to not having any holding........... I'm sorry but this takes me back and makes me feel as if my last year has been wasted and have nothing to show for it.
I am a good person and do good for those around me, especially my family. I do no harm or foul to anybody in this life and I mind my space and business. I follow the good man above faithfully and recently have even began to question that, simply because of some of the things I am Immediately being dealt in life. Please use this as a warning and know that if youre trading on a platform such as BINANCE, BITFINIX, HUOBi, KRAKEN or any another exchange that does not allow margin trading but where you trade with your own money... stick to that. At the end of the day its yours and nobody is attempting to swoop what is yours right from under you or keep it safely on a hardware wallet. Now, I joke with you not. I have to go back to getting a regular job and have no education behind me....not even transportation to get from point A to point B. Good old fashion walking. I can't even go trade my way out of this one because I have nothing to trade with ha. I came into this space hoping for a bit of financial freedom from my immediate situation. No lambo goals simply wanted to make extra money. When i got to reap some of those benefits it was the best. Now I sit here with 0.000000000BTC to my name and feel nothing but a feeling of hurt. I even feel a bit upset knowing that it was not even taken from me by a person...that would have been better because this one person would have used it. It was taken by the damn exchange. Be careful and know that even if you play it smart in this life....things happen
**For demonstration purposes/ check back soon** Im going to post to you my BTC address here so you can see the 0 balance, those transactions that you see to BMEX are the funds I used to run my testing on this suspected algorithm and its workings. Im going to tell you that, if you remember me and this story check back to that address next year and we will see how far we have gotten after this mishap. A reddit experiment if you will. 3NKSRiLW7iiSq695Vf8hN4uVkmhvCPtnVw
